Nicola Law
Director
Nicola is a qualified teacher with a specialism in Performing Arts and English and has worked in the childcare sector for over 35 years. A mother of two boys Nicola initially set up has Home from Home Nursery in Hove 23 years ago.
With a strong reputation established in Hove Nicola was keen for Home from Home to continue to grow and evolve. Nicola was therefore delighted to be able to bring Home from Home Nursery to Worthing in 2015 and is very proud to of celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Home from Home Worthing in 2025.
Julia Pattenden
Director
Julia has a BSc (Hons) in Management Science, Economics and Business Studies and has 32 years senior managerial experience in various FTSE 100 companies both Uk based and overseas. Julia has always admired the unique style of day care offered at Home from Home Nursery and welcomed the opportunity to work alongside Nicola, to develop Home from Home in a new setting.
Julia also plays an active role in the community as a Chair of Governors for a local primary school and as football coach for a local U14’s team focusing on safeguarding and wellbeing of the players. In her spare time Julia enjoys spending time with her horse and overseas travel.
Sophie Eade
Nursery Manager
Sophie Nursery has worked at Home from Home for nearly 5 years and has worked in Early Years for over 15 years. She studied towards her PGCE in primary during Covid, but loved Early Years too much so returned to working in nursery settings. Sophie loves to read a good book in the sunshine, she also loves a good festival.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is watching the children grow up, develop and become independent ready for school. Sophie who has senior line manager responsibility for HR and Recruitment is currently studying for her People Professional L5 qualification.
Sonia Green
Nursery Manager
Sonia has worked at Home from Home for 6 years and has worked in Early Years for over 15 years, she has a degree in Early Years. Sonia enjoys going out on the family boat with her husband and 2 boys. She also loves a holiday!
Sonia’s favourite thing about working at Home from Home is the relationships with the children and families that we make. Building on staff relationships and having a place to be happy and fulfilled in the role we deliver.
Marcus Tidey
Room Manager
Marcus is our Baby Room Manager, he has worked at Home from Home for 8 years, he has a level 5 qualification in Early Years. Marcus enjoys traveling the country with his brother to watch Brighton and Hove football club, he also loves a spot of golf.
His favourite thing about working at Home from Home is building bonds with the families who attend the setting, he also enjoys working with the senior team to help develop his knowledge and skills. Marcus is also SENCo for the setting.
Danielle Fletcher
Room Manager
Danielle is our Toddler Room manager; she has worked at Home from Home since 2019, she has a degree in Early Years and has worked in Early Years for over 20 years. Danielle enjoys spending time with her 3 children and 2 horses and visiting family and friends.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is watching the children grow and develop as they go through the nursery and working with supportive practitioners.
Nicky Leah
Room Manager
Nicky is our Pre-school Manager, she has worked at Home from Home for nearly 10 years, she has a level 3 qualification in Childcare. Nicky enjoys going to the gym and taking part in Park run. Nicky ran the marathon in 2019 which was one of her biggest achievements.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is teaching the children new songs and reading stories, she also loves the team she works in and feels her job is very rewarding. Nicky is also the Curriculum lead for the setting.
Emma Cox
Team Leader
Emma is our Baby Room Team Leader she has worked at Home from Home for 3 years. Emma has worked in Early years for over 20 years and has her level 3 qualification. Emma enjoys spending time with her family, walking and reading.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is forming bonds with the children and working with the baby team and supporting them in their development.
Evie Wilcock
Team Leader
Evie is our Toddler Room Team Leader; Evie has worked at Home from Home for nearly 5 years joining as an Apprentice and having recently completed her level 3 in Childcare. She enjoys socialising with her friends and adding to her extensive trainer collection.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is supporting the children’s individual needs by planning fun and engaging activities.
Kate Parker
Team Leader
Kate is our Preschool Team leader; Kate has worked at Home from Home for 6 years joining as a practitioner initially and has over 20 years of early years’ experience. Kate enjoys chasing around after her 3 boys at home and reading and socialising with friends.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is working with fantastic people and making a difference to children’s lives.
Chelsea Song
Deputy Team Leader
Chelsea is our Baby room deputy team leader, she has worked at Home from Home for 4 years, initially as a Apprentice, and is currently studying to complete her Level 3 in Early Years. She enjoys reading, going out for walks and seeing the world.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is spending time with the children, watching them flourish as they hit their milestones and of course the cuddles!
Ellie Harman
Deputy Team Leader
Ellie is our Toddler Room deputy team leader; Ellie has worked at Home from Home for 4 years starting as an apprentice. She is currently studying to complete her level 3 in Early Years. Ellie enjoys going out with friends and family, going to see live music and the gym.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is how all the practitioners show a one team mindset and the supportive senior team.
Jacob Pippen
Deputy Team Leader
Jacob is our preschool deputy team leader, he has worked at Home from Home for nearly 7 years, initially as an Apprentice and is now level 3 qualified. Jacob is also studying a science degree alongside working. Jacob enjoys playing golf and playing football.
His favourite thing about working at Home from Home is going to Beach School.
Patsy Alleyne Wake
Administrator
Patsy is our Admissions & Systems Administrator, she has worked at Home from Home for nearly 5 years, she is studying to complete her level 3 in Business Administratin. Patsy enjoys martial arts with her daughter and playing the piano.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is building strong relationships with the children and their families and being able to support families through the early years process.
Beckie Devlin
Outdoor Practitioner
Beckie is our Outdoor practitioner, and is a qualified Beach school and Forset School Practitoner. Beckie leads our Forest and Beach school programmes and supports our practitioners with outdoor learning in our allotment and potting shed. Beckie has worked at Home from Home for 8 years. Beckie enjoys cooking for family and friends, going for walks in the countryside and watching her children play football.
Her favourite thing about working at Home from Home is watching how the children develop when they return to Forest School each term, becoming more and more confident in their play and inquisitive about the natural world.
